Self-Titled and Self-Assured, Gina Z Rocks
Gina Zavalis has been in the music business a long time, but it was time for her to write music of her own. Her self-titled EP is all her own and it was made with her whole heart.
Zavalis’ debut single “In Your Eyes” is the first track and it welcomes the listener to a record of inspiration and hope. The ballad showcases her strong voice and good range. All of the songs follow suit –ballads with messages of support and hope. On the second track “Reach For Me”, Zavalis is offering her support to others, just as she looks for support in someone else on “In Your Eyes”.
“I Am Here” is a slightly bouncier track, with a subtle dance beat backing up her vocals. Again, the song is about asking for help and knowing you’re going to get it. Zavalis clearly sees the good in people and is fearless because of this fact.
“Waiting”, the fourth song, is about just that—waiting, but for something bigger in life. Zavalis clearly wants to change the world in her own way, and it’s an admirable goal. Her faith is strong and her will is great. Closing the EP is “As I Give My Heart”, again facing love and faith head on.
Zavalis’ voice is stellar throughout the EP. Though it may not be what fits on pop radio stations today, it is a strong vocal that should be heard. This EP will pull you out of a bad mood on those gray winter days and enhance the good days. Zavalis gives us her whole heart on this EP, and it’s one worth listening to.
This review is excellent. There is only a small part of it where my opinion differs.
I believe that Gina’s voice would fit today’s pop radio stations because of its unique quality. It is Gina’s unique tone quality that will stand and ignite a national if not a worldly following if her music is played on FM airwaves across the nation.

Gina has more musical guns in her holster than meets the ear. I have worked with her in and out of my studio for many years and can honestly say that she has inner understanding of the musical language like I’ve never come across in my 35 plus years in music..

An excellent review for such a talented brilliant singer. Gina’s voice is so unique & fits all categories too. I’ve just recently started to listen to Gina’s music & can tell it all comes from her heart. I could go on & on but there would not be enough space to type. Truly inspirational & deserves to go world wide & be at the top with all the great names. Wishing you all my very best Gina.

Gina’s ability to capture emotion and intelligence with her voice is equaled by none. Her voice is uplifting and wondrous. Her songs will inspire you to take on the world and win.
I put her CD on all the time while I am working and it makes me smile and keeps me warm. Everyone needs to keep an eye on her because she will be on the top 5 must see concerts very soon.

Gina is what the world needs right now! She is a true talent who needs no gimmicks or studio tricks to make her sound good. Gina is brilliant enough on her own. Her phrasing is impeccable and emotionally captures a listener the way a good artist should. Gina Zavalis reminds me so much of some of my all time favorites like Streisand, Dion but mixes a modern feel. Great job girl!
